Fall is so close I can tase it!

It's just around the corner & I can't wait! FALL!! The leaves are starting to change a little...the cool air just has a different scent (long sniff....aaaahhhh). Every morning when I walk to the closet, I reassure my old college sweat shirts that it won't be much longer before I will be wearing them again! It has been so nice to be able to turn the air conditioning off & open all the windows & doors. I think it's supposed to get hot again in a couple of days, but I sure hope it doesn't last long. I'm ready to start making trips to the orchard & having fires in the back yard...neither of those things feel right when it is 90 degrees outside.

Wedding stuff for today... I like the idea of a unity candle...something to symbolize not only the marriage of Daniel & me, but the marriage of our families. However, the unity candle itself just doesn't feel right for us. I'm trying to think of something unique & creative, but still meaningful & symbolic of our lives together. Suggestions welcome....

  1. Jen, one of the coolest unity ceremonies i've seen is a salt ceremony (probably more info online) but when people made covenants in the old testament, they carried little bags of salt. when they combined their salts together, it symbolized that the covenant could not be broken because you can no longer separate the two individual grains of salt from each other. i LOVED it! two vials of salt become one.
