Wow...we are already 5 days in to 2010! I can't even believe it! It has been great so far! Daniel is in Evansville helping his grandparents move this week, so I am working on getting our home put back together. We had our carpets cleaned yesterday...now I am putting furniture back in the right spots, cleaning the furniture, and putting my Christmas decorations away :( It's so fun to think that this time next year I will be Mrs. Burklow! I CAN'T WAIT!!! Not much going on as far as the wedding goes, although I did make the decision recently to change the color of my bridesmaids' dresses from green to black. Still haven't picked a style, but I have plenty of time!
I told you December 30th was my friend Sarah's birthday, & we surprised her by going to Christmas at the Zoo. It was beautiful!! I had never been, & I felt like a little kid! Of course it was cold outside, but I had a silly hat to wear, & I wore my mittens, & it snowed, so it made the cold totally worth it! Sarah was really surpised! After the zoo, we ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It was DELICIOUS!! Daniel & I ate our cheesecake for breakfast the next morning! I'm pretty easy to find in this picture, because I'm the only one who didn't wear black! They forgot to send me the memo...oh, & the hat!

For New Year's Eve we went to our friend Josh's house in Rushville. Daniel & I are very fortunate to have the same circle of friends now as we did 10 years ago. Good Ol' Rushville :) It was a really good time! We ate some good food, played games, & rang in the New Year together!
This is my best friend Jenna...she is one of my bridesmaids! When Jenna, Daniel, & I were in junior high, Daniel's mom asked Jenna to help tutor Daniel in math. They made a pact then that if neither of them were married by our 10 year high school reunion, they would have to marry each other. That deadline is getting close...good thing I snagged him when I did!!

Well into the night...

The game of LIFE

Serious face...

Happy face...

So after the New Year's Eve party, we went home & slept for a few hours, then went to my uncle's house where a large part of our family gets together every year. We have done this for as long as I can remember. When we were little, our parents used to show up a little "under the weather"...I guess now it's our turn! For the record, nobody was in terrible shape this year. Last year, the only thing I could eat was a tiny helping of mashed potatoes :(
GLOOOOOOOORIOUS!!

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays as much as we did! They are always busy, but it's so nice to spend time with our family & friends!
God bless & have a great week!
