Year 1

I completely forgot to mention that Daniel & I survived what we affectionately refer to as "Year 1" of marriage! I had to work all weekend, so I didn't feel like doing much, but Daniel took me to dinner after work, & got me a few cute gifts.

Some things we've enjoyed doing together in Year 1:

:: watching "King of Queens". We watch it, we quote it, it never gets old!

:: going to breakfast early on Saturday mornings. It makes us seem old, but it's fun to just slow down, reflect on the week passed, the week approaching, & watch all the other townies drift in & out of the pancake house.

:: returned to Curtis, MI...just the 2 of us this time. We cut the vacation short a couple of days because of a death in a dear friend's family...but we also found that we got pretty bored in the UP by ourselves in a 500 sq ft cabin.

:: hosting Easter & Thanksgiving. We've hosted 4 years in a row now, & things go more smoothly each time. It makes us feel a little grown-up.

:: trying to have a baby. Yeah...we decided I would stop taking my birth control in August. It's fun throwing all caution to the wind ;)

:: growing Daniel's business. 2 Brothers Lawn & Landscape LLC will be in full swing this year!!

:: calling each other "husband" and "wife". We like throwing those out there every once in a while. I love him a lot...pretty sure I'll keep him :)

PS: IU is 13-1. For the first time in school history, we defeated the #1 AND #2 teams! It's good to be a Hoosier!
