Football Weekends

I remember when I was growing up begging my dad not to make us watch another football game when we stayed with him on the weekends. He would turn the game on, fall asleep, & then only wake up when one of us tried to change the channel. Over the years, it grew on me. I started paying attention, learning the game, & became quite comfortable with the sound of football on tv in the background. Three years into our relationship, Daniel finally stopped complaining about watching football every weekend, & he started paying attention too! Now it's part of our norm, on the tv every Thursday night, Saturday, Sunday, & Monday night! These are my opinions about football season so far:

COLLEGE

Purdue football...I couldn't care less about you.

IU football...actually a decent start to your season! 1-1, the first game should have been ours, but great job Saturday. It's funny that there is a player on your team with the last name Replogle. I'm hoping for a good year for you because you are my alma mater, but as in seasons past, I anxiously await for basketball season...you guys are gonna kill it this year!

IU basketball...THIS YEAR IS GONNA ROCK! Really ready to see what Cody Zeller will do for this team, loving Tom Crean's positivity, I'm expecting big things out of you this year!

Notre Dame football...you should have had Michigan. Still hoping for another good year out of this team.

NFL

Colts...COME ON!!! Defense, you haven't lost any game-changing players. Offense, bet you didn't know you would have to play with an out-of-practice, old, slow, mediocre QB did you? Jim Caldwell-you haven't had to coach yet. May want to do a little of that now. Kerry Collins-maybe when you play you could at least look like you care. Tighten-up on the play fakes, follow through a little more, & drink a Mt Dew or something before the game...it may perk you up a little bit.

Patriots...Tom Brady, I still hate you. I will never want your team to win, even against Phillip Rivers.

Green Bay...I'm becoming more & more a fan of Aaron Rogers. Hopefully soon we will here just as much about you as we do Tom Brady.

That's all the ranting & raving I will do for now.

I love this fall weather! Daniel & I went to Pizza King for lunch today. A good friend of mine from back home lost one of her younger brothers 3 years ago. Today, a percentage of all purchases made at Pizza King went to a scholarship in his name...so we went to support her & her family. Plus it's my favorite pizza in the world!

Also, Daniel & I have been married 9 months today :)
