Finally!

FINALLY!!! It's vest weather :) & I'm just about ready for some hot chocolate! I loooooove this time of year! It's so nice to turn the air off & just open the windows.

Daniel & I are going on 9 months of marriage! Things are fantastic. I was surprised at how much the dynamic of our relationship changed initially. The first couple of months were easy...we had the holidays to occupy our time. So I'd say around February or so things felt a little different for me. I'm not really sure why... we argued a little more & things felt a little tense. Maybe it was the finality of everything set in...like OK we are really stuck with each other forever now. Some of it, too, had to do with the expectations we were putting on ourselves & each other. What is the role of husband/wife? Am I going to be a good wife? What am I supposed to do. Then we kind of hit ourselves over the head & had a nice talk about how our relationship doesn't really need to change. We are great the way we are, & marriage doesn't need to change that. When it came to talking about serious stuff, like investments, retirement, kids, budget, etc., we learned that we could conquer all of those things in our own way, fulfilling our roles as husband & wife in whatever way fits us :)

Now we are having a blast! We are enjoying our time together, just the 2 of us. My sister got married a couple of weeks ago, & we were both glad our wedding was out of the way! Really glad that stress (while a blessing) was behind us!

I'm so excited for all of my friends who are growing & birthing little people! I'm really enjoying all the new ones that pop up & the new ones that pop out :)

OH- & it's been so long since I've done this, I don't remember how to decorate my blog...new backgrounds, etc. Any tips?...
